Burgers texturized soy vegan
Vegan burgers made with soy texturized, easy and tasty recipe. It is a simple recipe vegetarian, also valid for meatballs, that gives us another culinary alternative free of animal products.
100 gr. (a glass and approx. average) of fine texturized soy
4 tablespoons flour
1/4 red pepper
1 clove of garlic
a drizzle of (optional) soy sauce
1 tablespoon ground cumin
salt and pepper

In a large container, that allows us then to knead , we offer you soak the soy texturized with a glass of hot water.
While hydrates texturized soybean finely chops the garlic clove, piece of bell pepper and onion. It is important to chop them well finite, so adapt well to the ground when shaping patties.
When the textured soy has hydrated, remove excess water by tightening with the hands. Then add in the same dish the 4 tablespoons of flour, a drizzle of soy sauce, a tablespoon of ground cumin, garlic, onion, and pepper that we’ve stung before. Season to taste and knead everything together.
The proportion of flour and soy will depend on the moisture remaining in the textured soy. For this reason, we will put more or less flour until you get the desired texture on mass. Once obtained a sufficiently ductile dough, form patties with your hands.
We FRY our burgers vegan in a pan with enough olive oil to cover them halfway. Take good care to avoid burning and once toasted one side, will turn each burger. To remove them from the Pan, we leave them on absorbent paper to remove excess oil.

textured soy is available at health food and specialty stores. There are different sizes, for this recipe we will use soybean fine texturized. It is common to use this presentation of soy to replace meat chopped in vegetarian recipes.
These ingredients give a 6 hamburger, more or less. We can also make meatballs vegan following the same procedure and serve with favorite sauce. In my case, a homemade tomato sauce.
The ingredients are approximate, you can always substitute peppers or onions others you prefer, mushrooms, nuts, Zucchini, etc.
A good idea, since it is a fried recipe, is to accompany it with a great salad.
